HOW DOES THE DEA FREEDRAW SERVICE WORK?
1. The DEA measures up and roughly ‘sketches’ the property during the EPC visit
2. The floor plan is drawn on Metropix, from any PC, then previewed and sent directly to the Estate Agent‘s account
3. The Estate Agent receives an email confirming that the plan has been created. A link on the email will take them straight to the floor plan, within their own account. There they can make amendments to the plan whenever they wish, upload the plan to their web site or sales details AND, if they wish, upgrade the plan - to an interactive and/or 3D plan - or order a map.
DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT?
No, all that is required to create a Metropix floor plan is a pen and paper to sketch the property and a PC with Internet access to process the finished plan. There are sketching guidelines and a sketching template available at http://www.metropix.co.uk/mtpix/downloads.aspx
IS THE SERVICE REALLY FREE, OR ARE THERE HIDDEN COSTS?
There are no hidden costs. It is free to register for a DEA FreeDraw account, there is no monthly subscription and there are no costs ‘per plan’, irrespective of how many plans are produced. Estate agency clients pay their standard chosen subscription – 48hrs or monthly - on a pay-as-you-go basis. There is no minimum contract period applicable..
HOW DOES MY ESTATE AGENCY CUSTOMER OPEN A METROPIX ACCOUNT
A large number of estate agents in the UK already have a Metropix account. Agents who don't have an active account are welcome to register an account and take advantage of our free, 14-day trial. When a plan is transferred to a client who does not have a Metropix account, the floor plan notification email incorporates a link that will help them to register their trial and open their plan immediately. FOLLOWING THE TRIAL IS THERE ANY OBLIGATION FOR MY CLIENT TO SUBSCRIBE TO METROPIX?
No there isn't. Your client has nothing to lose which is a key selling point for you, the DEA. YOU can offer a free floor plan trial to potential customers at no cost or obligation either to them or to yourself. What’s more, even after the Estate Agent decides to subscribe to using the service, there is no commitment involved. Subscriptions are usually paid on a monthly ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis.
CAN DEAS OBTAIN FREE SUPPORT FROM METROPIX
Absolutely! Our in-house support team will provide full training and ongoing support to Registered DEAs.
WHO PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE ESTATE AGENT?
Once the floor plan has been drawn by the Registered DEA, Metropix covers all support related to its service, from assistance with amending plans to uploading or upgrading plans
WHAT ABOUT PMA?
Estate agents must adhere to the rules and regulations governing estate agency practise, including the Property Mis-descriptions Act (PMA). Their responsibilities cannot be relinquished by involving a third party to assist in the preparation of any marketing material. For this reason it is important that estate agent have full control over the information contained within the floor plan created by the DEA, including the ability to apply the measurements and room names they want used. Metropix’s DEA FreeDraw service delivers the perfect solution – full amending control for the estate agent ….which also means no additional work for the DEA to do!
